For NMV members
The NMV Library is a specialized library emphasizing the arts, religions and history of Asia. The collection contains 4000 books and periodicals in English, French, German and Japanese. This Library is a wonderful way to discover Asia and Thailand and is full of hidden treasures.

BOOKS

Book classification follows the numeral Dewey system. Books are shelved by subjects for a better visibility.

CD rom
Some files are directly collected on CD.

In 2008, a brand new computerized system was created, managing a complete data base.
Check out and check in is done directly on computer. In a short of time visitors will have access to the data base on a computer.

Availability and services

The Library is located at the rear of the Museum grounds behind the main (Palace) building.

Book at the libraryOperating Hours
Wednesdays from 10 am to 4 pm
Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm
Except Thai holidays.

Book Loans Conditions
All NMV members are allowed to borrow 4 books and 2 periodicals for a 4 week duration. Non-members are welcome to visit the library and read or consult our books, but not borrow them. All books are loaned on an individual basis. No exception will be made for study-group leaders to borrow books for group participants. Books marked with a red sticker can not be remove from the library.

Overdue Books
All overdue books are subject to a fine of 20 baht per book per week.
A one time extension is allowed on borrowed books by contacting the library via phone (02- 2223879) or email (nmvlibrary@gmail.com). If a late return is necessary, this unpleasant charge maybe avoided by contacting us.

Returns
Members are responsible for returning their books to the library. A “Book box” is available at the library to return your books, when the library is closed.
Please do not give your books to other members, any museum staff or leave them with the guards at the Museum gate.

Library teamServices
We can copy documents (black/white) for members and visitors or scan directly on a USB stick. A fee of 3 baht per copy will be charged for this service.

You can also pay the membership fee at the library during the opening hours. Please print first the Application Form from our page "Membership"
