‘At Homes’ is a regular event on the NMV calendar. These morning sessions provide an opportunity to learn and discuss diverse topics in small groups lead by guest speakers with interesting stories to tell, unique collections to show or particular knowledge to share.
Some of the speakers will be drawn from the NMV membership. They may also be other Bangkok residents, people from upcountry or others passing through Thailand.

Royal barges / Garuda We would like to invite these people to speak to us in a more intimate setting than is possible with a lecture or an excursion. Typically, an ‘At Home’ will be a small informal meeting with morning tea and a speaker. Attendance will be limited to about 15 people and sessions will take place once per month. Locations will vary as some speakers may prefer to show their unique collection or tell their story in their own homes.

In addition, we are delighted to announce that the Siam City Hotel has invited us to use their facilities, so some ‘At Homes’ will be held in one of their elegant suites.

Tatoos We are very keen to hear from you with suggestions for potential speakers, topics you’d like to learn about and any other ideas for ‘At Homes’ activities. We would prefer topics to be associated with Thai art, history and culture but are open to all ideas. You may know someone who could introduce us to a quirky aspect of a general topic – for example “who introduced eggs into some Thai desserts? “

We look forward to seeing you there and at other ‘At Homes’ sessions in the future.

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you!
